Christmas Music ~ Always helps to get me in the mood for this Christmas season.
College ~ Working on the second wave of college apps with my daughter Amanda. Still looking for the money tree, too. No sightings yet.
Grief & Hope ~ I'm continuing to be fed in my bible studies and reading where a Christian perspective on grief is concerned. I'm not sure I can put this into words where it would be a blessing to others yet, but I'm finding real comfort and encouragement. C.S. Lewis' A Grief Observed continues to stir my thoughts in positive ways. I'm concluding that even though I don't understand Him, what I've always believed to be true about God--that He is good--is indeed the case.
Blogs & Such ~ Getting things set up on the Droid to maximize and minimize has led me to another full out review of Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and other social ties--Who are my friends? Really? You know what this means? Time to cleanse some more names, and re-categorize some others. Time to tighten up the filters and make use of more tools. Oh how I long for the simple days of face to face friendships and written correspondence.
Blogs & Such part two ~ Time for some minor blog tweaks. Some you'll notice but some will be behind the scenes. All about getting better at what I love to do.
Writing ~ Speaking of that which I love to do... more progress being made on the Big Buts manuscript; enjoying growth in readership/viewers of the Big Buts website; and generally enjoying the reading and writing I'm getting done in my "off" hours. Tresford ~ A friend of mine from Namibia has got all his paperwork in place and is coming to visit us in February. Too cool. You will love him. I can't wait to introduce him to you.
