Lyrics! ~ I've penned a couple of new tunes. I posted the lyrics to one on the other blog if you're interested. I'm having a lot of fun these days fooling around with lyrics and chord progressions. It has been a long time since things have been this much fun for me with a guitar in my hand.
Silence ~ I'm preaching on the Spiritual Discipline of Silence this coming Sunday. Sure. A preacher. Preaching on silence. What the heck am I supposed to do? Mime? (Don't laugh, might happen!) So this week I have built some time into my schedule for silence. Amazing to me that I can easily "be silent" but I struggle to actually experience silence. I've decided that the voice in my head never shuts up. It's like that friend we've all had that never lets you get a word in--the one that feels like if there's even a hint of quiet, that they need to fill it. That's my head! So... SHHHHhhhh!
Writing ~ I've been enjoying the podcasting of my historical fiction story Chronicles of War so much that I'm thinking about segmenting my Parson to Person story and posting them on the other blog. I don't know if I'll podcast it but I think there may be a new audience for that story. Here on this blog folks have asked when I'll pick it back up. Maybe it's time.
More Writing ~ Big buts work continues to go on behind the scenes (Big Buts of the Bible: Gospel of Matthew). It has me excited for the next book. James? Romans? Or really digging in and heading for Genesis? You have any thoughts on that?
Important Dates ~ My birthday is coming up but more importantly Shari's birthday is right behind mine. It's a rather noteworthy birthday, too. Then, our twentieth anniversary is just a few days later. Big dates on the calendar, yes indeed. What shall I do? Hmmm.
