A week that produced some big buts in our nation's capital:
On Tuesday of last week Barack Obama was sworn in as our 44th President. But, Chief Justice Roberts fumbled the oath. Props to Prez Obama for trying to help the man recover.
Then, in an "overabundance of caution" (those words compliments the White House Chief Counsel), they called for a do-over. But, notice that they forgot the Bible for this one. Scandalous.
On Sunday I arrived in DC thinking maybe I'd stop by the White House and see Obi... you know, talk about my book. He evidently wasn't expecting me. But, Shari and I did get to see my niece Evan who is studying in DC.
Now this news just in: Al Gore is scheduled to talk on Capital Hill about Global Warming tomorrow. But, his visit is going to be canceled... wait for it... due to a snow and ice storm!
I tell you, that word but is a gem. What do you think?
